Lots of you gave out the cards last year and many friends, relatives and colleagues came to see me to do their tax returns and naturally that helps me to stay in business and pay the bills.

Unfortunately though, because most people get their tax returns done as soon as they get their PAYG certificates many of them have done their returns before you recommend me.

I would like to ask you a favour this year using the internet and I will pay you for your efforts rather than just saying Thank you.

Anybody who you refer to me who then completes and pays for their Tax Return to be completed I will pay you $ 10.00 either as a reduction of your fee or a cash payment at the end of the month.

I am not asking you to go on a recruiting drive for me but simply to give me their name and email address and permission to contact them (by email only).

I will send them an email saying someone has recommended that I contact them and give them full details of my service and help them to get the very best result.

If you could then send an mail (I can provide that) to all your contacts just saying that your Accountant will be contacting them to help them to get the very best result from their Tax Return this year.

I will then process their return and pay you the referral fee at the end of each month.

Important:

Please contact me as soon as you get your PAYG Certificate.

Many people wait longer because they think we will be flat out early in July.

Sometimes that causes low numbers in early July and a big rush at the end of July.

We would rather you get your refund as soon as possible.

Last year the Australian Government introduced an Education Tax Refund for all parents who:

Have children attending school

Receive any part of Family Tax Allowance Part A

The government advertised extensively last year but as of 22nd January 2010 over 600,000 people had not claimed this money.

The amount not claimed was at that time over $ 533,000,000.

That means that only half the people eligible had claimed.
